Dear Friends,

The Heart of the Rockies Fellowship unanimously voted to constitute as a church on March 19, 2006.  As we continue to reach out to our neighbors in the Animas Valley and La Plata County with the Good News of Jesus Christ, it is important for us to have a simple organizational structure through which  to direct our efforts.  Toward that end, we are updating our list of people willing to be included as members of this Fellowship.  Our basic beliefs are as follows:

• The Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man.  Salvation is its end, and truth, without error, its matter.  It is the sole authority for our faith and practice.
  

• There is only one true and living God and He is an intelligent, spiritual and personal being.  We believe He is the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver and Ruler of the universe and that He reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit: the Holy Trinity.
  

• That mankind is the special creation of God, made in His image, and endowed with freedom of choice.  By this free choice, man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race.  Only by the grace of God can man enter again into fellowship with God by salvation through Jesus Christ, God's only Son.
  

• That salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and involves the redemption of the whole person.  There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.
  

• That baptism is an act of obedience to the Lord and symbolized the believer's faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior.
  

If you agree with these basic beliefs and are willing to be counted as a member, please signify so on the attached response form, you may find a copy at one of our services and place it in the offering plate.  Each individual who wishes to be a member will need to complete and return this response form.

Being listed as a member of this Fellowship does not place any obligation or liability on you beyond that which you determine the Lord Himself has placed on you through His grace, His word and His Spirit.

Please remember that you are always welcome to participate in our Sunday services, cell meetings, and any of our ministries, whether or not you choose to be a member.
