Announcements
January 31, 2010
- The Truth Project continues this week, on Tuesday, February 2, at the home of Shane and Carrie Kairalla. This amazing study will be repeated later. It is recommended that every member of our fellowship should attend these sessions, especially in the present day cultural climate.
- Our other cell groups will meet this week at their regular times and places.
- Anyone wishing to make a contribution for the survivors in Haiti should designate your offering simply “Haiti Relief.” Our gifts will be sent through Samaritan’s Purse Ministry.
- Our summer sports camp/Bible study is scheduled for July 12-15. A group from the Hillcrest Church in Nederland, Texas, will be here to direct the athletic activities, but will need a crew of volunteers from our fellowship. Our first need is a planning committee of at least 5 people. We still need 2 volunteers to help with the planning. A sign-up sheet is located on the back table. Pray about your involvement.
- If you trust the Lord and are ready to follow Him in baptism, please let Glen know.
- Please remember the job assignment you accepted (if you need a reminder of your job, let us know) and be faithful to perform it or ask someone to fill in for you when you are unable to be in place. Job applications for service through Heart of the Rockies are still available on the back table.
- Please bring any extra plastic bags (WalMart, City Market, Albertsons, etc.) you may have for use at the Manna Soup Kitchen. There is also a need for breakfast cereals.
- A sign-up sheet is at the back table if you can help with snacks one week.
- If you feel the Lord leading you to join this fellowship, there are instruction sheets also on the back table. Please take one, pray about your decision, and return the completed form to Yvonne French.

October 22, 2009
- Sunday, November 1 will be a special day of celebration in the life of our fellowship as we baptize several of our friends. First Baptist Church of Durango has again offered their baptistry for that Sunday afternoon beginning at 1:30PM. If you have been considering baptism and have accepted Christ as your Savior, you can still be a part of this celebration. Call Glen at (970) 884-7588 and let him know of your decision so we can make arrangements. After the morning worship service, we will have lunch and fellowship in the gym at Animas Valley Elementary. Fried chicken and drinks will be provided. Each family is asked to bring a side dish that feeds 12 hearty diners, your choice of veggies, a dessert, or alternate meat. If you need to keep your dish warm, consider bringing it in a 'cooler'. This will be a great Sunday to invite visitors to worship - there should be plenty of food for them. After the meal, we will head to First Baptist Church for the baptism. Thank you for encouraging these brothers and sisters in Christ by being there.
- Sunday, November 8, we will begin receiving the boxes for Operation Christmas Child. The following Sunday, November 15, will be the final day for including your boxes with those our fellowship will send overseas.
- Sunday, November 8 is also the collection day for baby bottles for the Durango Life Foundation.
- We are in the planning stages of a hay ride/picnic for about 20 families who have children in Animas Valley Elementary and we need volunteers to help plan and implement this service/outreach project. Call Glen to express you willingness to help.
- Our study of The Truth Project will begin very soon at Shane and Carrie Kairalla's home. We hope many of you will take advantage of this great opportunity to strengthen your faith and prepare to defend it in the face of growing secular opposition.
